QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • the 1/8 cable is a larger diameter then what is a my door I think I have a series 9005-5 8 ft door possibly a 3/32" cable what cable would I use

If it is for a torquemaster spring system, you would need to order the full cable drum assembly - https://www.waynedaltonparts.com/products/wayne-dalton-torquemaster-cable-drum-assembly-kit-321800

  • I received the cables. One of them has a washer that spins freely close to the stop (as you show in your pictures). What is the purpose of this washer, and why is it only on one of the cables?

Every cable assembly comes with a crimped and a loose cable stop on one end. This is to help the cable sit evenly in the cable drum. Double check the full cable for the loose stop. It may have moved to the other end. This is an optional piece that only some require.
