7 Quick Tips for Buying Garage Door Opener Parts

You will need to know several details about your garage door opener to select the correct parts for it. Manufacturer name and model number are usually necessary.
To find detailed infomation about your garage door opener, look on the garage door opener power head located on the ceiling of your garage. Usually stickers and identifying information are found on the back or sides of the machine.
Garage door opener manufacturers change the frequency at which remote controls and keypads function periodically, so you will generally need to know the model number of your garage door opener.
Some models of garage door operators use radio gear (remote controls, keypads) from another manufacturer. In this case, you will need to know additional details found on a currently working remote control.

	Lens required only slight modifacation to fit my Quantum model 3213. This plastic is much whiter than the old original lens, which shattered when I dropped it, and seems to be of better quality.

	The lens cover was brand new and in great condition but it did not fit properly. The top clip was completely different than the top clip on my lens cover. I modified this clip to make it fit. Thanks.

	Very fast shipping - thank you. The universal light covers were very to install. As expected, the cover needed very slight modification to fit my model # of opener. However, it only took some sand paper and a couple of min of time to sand the tab down so it would fit in the slot. Again, very easy and looks great.

	I wish I could say this universal part fit in place. However, as soon as I tried to puT it over the light I realized one of the stem legs was broken.
