49 yr. old female here who's never done anything like this before. I found this gear to be easy to replace. It would be nice if they supplied the punch to remove the roll pin, but I happened to have the right size one. Instructions were ok, though I'd prefer more diagrams and explanations (i.e. it takes some effort to pound the roll pin out/in - I didn't know it was hollow. How heavy was the motor going to be? Why did I have to put the plastic sides back on the opener?)
All-in-all quite easy and if I have to do it again it will be a cinch! What a cost savings!

Thank you for the excellent service. My new gear arrived Friday and I was
able to install it in less than an hour with your very helpful
instructions. I will definitely keep you in mind the next time I need
parts for my garage door opener!
