I decided to get a couple of the LiftMaster 975LM Laser Parking Accessories in order to hopefully prevent my wife from pulling into the garage to far and hitting various things. The idea is that you park the car where you want it to be, connect the parking assistant to the opener and mount it on the ceiling, and then position the laser so that it hits a memorable point visible from the driver's seat in the car. When opening the door, the laser parking assistant is activated and the laser light turns on. Pull and park the car so that the laser light hits the designated spot on or in the car (e.g. on the dash). Done. Easy as that. Installation is pretty easy too. There are just a couple wires to connect and staple to the ceiling and a screw to hold the device in place. At first this seemed like a novelty item, but it has kept my wife from hitting stuff in the garage! |

It took about 15 minutes to install the laser devices. Simple installation using a screwdriver. Easy to follow instructions. We now park the cars exactly in the same spot each time. A higher tech solution than the hanging tennis ball. (much cooler!) |
