Old Guy
This device is the answer to a maiden's prayer - literally! Our garage door opener is 30 years old and the remote control built into our old car operated it fine. But - we got a new car and the built-in control will not work the old opener. I wired your "Universal Remote Control Kit" in parallel with the old control and now my wife's new car can op[en the door and my old truck and van can use our old controls. Life is good!

Great Universal Remote
This item worked fine. The Sears technician told me that they didn't make a remote for my daughter's outdated opener. I researched the internet and came across Wayne Dalton Parts. I finally got around to installing it, and it worked great. The install is super easy. Thank you Wayne Dalton Parts.

Universal Remote Control Kit
I am very happy with this purchase. We recently purchased an older house with and old garage door opener and no remote. Tried a universal remote from Lowes, but it did not work with our garage door opener . I called Wayne Dalton and Jennifer was very helpful. We purchased their universal receiver with remote. It works great. Installation was simple and quick. We were even able to activate the HomeLink on our car and truck with this setup. Quality is good. The only thing I still need to do is figure out a way to clean-up the wires and permanently mount the receiver. I would definitely recommend this if you lost all your remotes and donít have a Smart Button on your garage door opener to sync with a new remote.

This was very easy to install and get working. My only complaint is it does not work from distance I was used to. I have to wait till turning in driveway for it to work. Other than that minor issue it's working very well

This is a bit pricy but a great product! My client had a working antique garage door opener but had lost the remotes for it. By installing the transform it gives my client the ability to once again use remotes. (Plug in the transformer, run the bell wires from transformer to garage door opener, push the garage door opener and thats it!)

Faster delivery than promised and simple to install and get working. A little slower than some at actually opening or closing the garage door, but other comments from reviews and also note on the directions explain why. Not a reason to not buy product, rather just a matter of understanding how it works.

I purchased this kit because the opener in our garage was old but had been used very little and no remote devises were available. Instructions were kindergarten simple--it took longer to string the wire than to hook up the opener & program the remote, probably 15 minutes total. Because the power source was on the opposite end of the garage from the door, I attached a covered wire to the device's antenna and ran it along the wall almost to the door, which enabled the remote to open the door while I am still approaching the garage. The delay one customer refers to is because the device programs a new signal everytime it is activated. The device works super--great value for the dollar.

Retrofit Great For My Garage
I was recommended this set for me since my current remote & controller are outdated. The instructions were a bit difficult to decipher, but everytime I called Wayne Dalton for help, they were incredibly patient & helpful. With their help, I had this piece installed in no time. I've been using it for several weeks now and love it. The only thing that isn't great is that the remote doesn't have a long range. I have to pretty much be in front of the garage door or it won't pick up the signal.

Replacement
I bought these items because the unit I have is to old and replacement parts arent available. The install was very easy, and operation is simple enough. We seem to have some sort of delay or interferance as it takes a couple of times for before everything connects and the opener works. Also the wall unit doesnt operate the light individually anymore so that was kind of a bummer. But overall a good product, beats opening the garage manually.

This fixed my problem. Was easy to install myself and works perfectly. Price was right as it would have cost more to have a service call. Your company answered my questions quickly and it was the right solution for my problem.

Product works as described. Connected two wires to receiver and other two wires to my very old garage door opener, plugged it in and....it worked. It took longer to staple the wires to the wall :). Another 10 minutes and I had programmed both or our cars Homelink openers.
